Free for every student who registers this Term 3. Spots are limited, so get your interest in early.
Work through a real past paper and high-value exam-style questions, with solutions walked-through live to show exactly how to earn full marks.
Sessions held late August / early September at ANU, right before exams. Final dates and venue are confirmed once the final exam timetable is out, so sessions land exactly when they're most useful.
Y11 Methods, Y11 Specialist Methods, Y12 Methods, and Y12 Specialist Methods — each group gets its own dedicated session.
How a session runs
You receive a past paper or a targeted set of exam-style questions, with the priority questions flagged to attempt first.
Work individually or in small groups at tables while tutors circulate — so getting stuck becomes a learning moment, not twenty minutes lost.
We go through high-value questions in full: the worked solution, and exactly how to approach it to secure full marks in the real exam.
Time permitting, we cover extra questions students ask for — so nothing you're stuck on goes unanswered.
Who it’s for
Mathematical Methods sessions cover exponential functions, and arithmetic and geometric sequences and series. Specialist Methods sessions cover those same two topics, plus logarithmic functions — all aligned with the standard BSSS curriculum.
Open to Year 11 and 12 students at any ACT school studying the BSSS curriculum — if this is what your exam covers, the practice and technique here will apply directly.
Expression of interest
Submitting this form doesn’t cost anything and doesn’t lock you in. It registers your interest so we can confirm which groups and timeslots are running.
Questions
No. Submitting your interest doesn't commit you to anything — it just registers your interest so we can confirm which groups and times are running. Once that's locked in, we'll email you to confirm your spot. Sessions are free this term, so there's nothing to pay at any stage.
Each group — Y11 Methods, Y11 Specialist, Y12 Methods, Y12 Specialist — runs independently once enough students register interest. If your group doesn't get there, we'll let you know and can flag you for future sessions.
Mathematical Methods sessions cover exponential functions and arithmetic and geometric sequences and series. Specialist Methods sessions cover those same two topics plus logarithmic functions. These align with the standard BSSS curriculum, so if your course covers this content, the session will be useful regardless of which school you're at.
No — sessions are free this term. There's no payment at any stage, so there's nothing to refund or cancel.
It's a structured, tutor-led session run by Tutoring Tree's founders, Oscar and Arjun, who went through the ACT college system themselves and tutor senior maths students week in, week out. You'll work through real past-exam papers, not generic worksheets, and every question is walked through in full — the method, the exam technique, and exactly how to score full marks.
Sessions are planned for Week 6 and Week 7 of Term 3 — roughly the last week of August and the first week of September — with final dates confirmed once the exam timetable is locked in, so they land right before exams. Sessions are held at the Australian National University (ANU); the exact room will be shared once your spot is confirmed.
And after exams? Test prep attendees get first access to our upcoming holiday program — a head start on next term’s content.
Registering your interest is free, takes two minutes, and commits you to nothing — it just makes sure your group and timeslot can be confirmed.
